Family Movie Night

Save the Date for a great Family Movie Night on Thursday, November 14th at 6:30pm here at Most Precious Blood Church. We will be showing the new movie, Aladdin! The movie is free adn there will be snacks available to be purchased at our snack bar hosted by our youth ministry team.
 
Quick Catholic Lessons

"QCL" for Youth in our North Central Windsor Catholic Family of Parishes

"QCL"  Quick Catholic Lessons is a 6-week program for students in grade 6-8 starting on Monday evenings, November 4th through December 9th. Each session will focus on a different aspect of what it means to be Catholic with a great video, small group discussion and an activity to bring this lesson to life. Snacks will be served each week. To sign your child up for this program forms will be available online (coming soon!) or in the church office. We will also be sending information through the schools we minister to.

The cost for the 6 weeks is $25. If you register by October 25th the cost is only $20. This is an awesome program to help our young people discover why being Catholic is so awesome and they should be proud to be Catholic!
 
Olive Wood From The Holy Land

Holy Land Christian Families are visiting Most Precious Blood parish on October 26-27 after masses to display the Olive Woods from the Holy Land. Hand Carving Olive Woods are religious items such as crosses, nativities, rosaries and statues that are handmade by Christian families who had to leave their homes because of religious war. This is their only source of income and out mission is to help with food, shelter and a better education. Thank you for your support.
 
North Central Windsor Youth Ministry Update

We have been building up our youth ministry team and planning this year's events! Here are some events that are coming soon! Mark your calendar!

Information will be handed out at the schools we minister to and will be made available in the main office and online shortly.

Friday, October 25th from 7-10pm - Halloween Youth Dance - Grades 5-8
Sunday, October 27th 6pm+ - Trunk & Treat (everyone of all ages)
Monday, October 28 - 6:30-8pm - Youth Series: "What's the Deal with being Catholic" - 8 sessions for grades 6-8. Registration information coming soon!
 
Windsor Bishop's Dinner

  Unlocking the Mystery of the Bible - Bible Study

You are invited to the Unlocking the Mystery Bible Study. This Bible Study will be held on Monday evenings from 6:30-8pm. There are 8 sessions. The first night is Monday, September 30th. This Bible Study will bring to life out Salvation History and will open up the bible through engaging videos, thought provoking questions and lively small group discussions. The cost for the workbook is $25. You will get your workbook on the first night. Space is limited, therefore reserve your spot by emailing Christine Coyle at ccoyle@dol.ca. Registration deadline is Tuesday, September 24th by 4pm. Please check the bulletin for a $5 off coupon for your workbook.
 
Adult Catechesis/Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA)

Are you looking to deepen your faith? Do you want to be baptized, complete the sacraments, become Catholic, or simply find out more? Join us on Thursday evenings from 7-9pm for our Adult Catechesis Nights beginning October 10th at St. Theresa's Church (1991 Norman Rd.) at we journey together to deepen our understanding through the Symbolon program. Our first topic will be The Jouney of Faith. Regardless of where we are in our own faith journey, all are welcome! Please contact Fr. David at 519-948-4133 ext 223 to find out more.
   
Trunk n' Treat - Save the Date

We are so excited to announce that we are plannning our 2nd Trunk n' Treat this Halloween on Sunday, October 27th right after the 6pm Mass at the St. Theresa Church site. This is where you fill your trunk with candy and kids will go trick or treating to each car. If you have children who would like to participate in the Trunk n' Treat - there is a baggie they will have to fill with toiletry items for people in need. Stop by the main office to pick up your donation baggie or some will be made available in the narthex/foyers of the churches. There will also be some fun games, apple cider and more! It will definitely be a great community builder! However, to make it a success we need people to come out with their vehicle filled with candy! Catholic Women's League - November Campaign

The Catholic Women's League of Most Precious Blood and Our Lady of Guadalupe will be collecting new mitt's, gloves and socks for the month of November. All donations will be distributed to our community partners to assist them in keeping their clientele warm this winter. For those who worship at San Juan Diego, St. Theresa and Sts. Cyril and Methodius and would like to donate, please drop off your donation at the back of the church in teh box provided by the CWL. Thank you for your generosity!
 
Social Justice Committee

"Living the Catholic Church's definition of Social Justice, is living as Jesus taught each of us to live." The North Central Windsor Catholic Family of Parishes Social Justice Committee is reachign out to all parishioners to prayerfully consider becoming a member of this valuable ministry. Our past projects have included: Development and Peace, Environmental Issues, and sponsoring and supporting of a refugee family financially and spiritually for 1 year. An Open House at Most Precious Blood is planned for Tuesday, November 26th at 7pm. Hope you to see you there!

Pilgrimage to the Holy Land and Jordan
April 16 - 28, 2020


Do you want to Walk in the Footsteps of Jesus? Join Fr. David and Deacon Morgan Treacy as we journey through the land where Jesus lived, preached and ministered. Mass will be offered daily. We will journey to Nazareth, walk the shores of the Sea of Galilee, as well as visit many important sites in and around Bethlehem, Jerusalem and Petra. Alpha

What is Alpha?
Alpha is a series of interactive video sessions that freely explore the basics of the Christian faith. There is always dinner, discussion and fun!
Who's it for? Teens, young adults, adults, seniors...everyone! Alpha is for anyone who is curious. Each session looks at a different question, and is designed to create conversation. There's no pressure, no charge, it's just an open, informal and honest space to explore and discuss life's big questions.
When does Alpha begin? Alpha will run on Wednesday nights beginning on October 16th from 6:15pm - 8:15pm thru to Wednesday, December 18th. Dinner served each night!

Girl Guides Of Canada Sparks Age 5-6 (September - June)

The 81st Windsor Spark Unit, Girl Guides of Canada, are looking for girls that are in S.K. and grade 1 that are interested in fun, friendship, field trips, crafts etc. We meet in the MPB church hall Saturday mornings from 10 to 11:30 am (September - June).

Hospice - Wanted: Compassionate and Caring Volunteers

For the past 35 years, the Hospice team of health care professionals and volunteers has helped people and their families facing life ? altering illness. We offer free emotional, spiritual and physical support from the point of diagnosis on.

We need your help. The Hospice of Windsor & Essex County Inc. is looking for volunteers to provide support to our patients. We currently have openings for volunteers in the following areas of patient care: Italian speaking volunteers, volunteer drivers, volunteers to do friendly visiting and/or respite visiting in the client’s home. All volunteers are required to complete orientation, screening and training requirements as set out by the Hospice of Windsor & Essex County Inc. Sunday Friends (September to June)

Starting Sunday, September 15th
 
Every Sunday at our 11:15am mass children between the ages of 4-7 can participate in the Sunday Friends teaching session. During their time together, the children hear the gospel and participate in a fun activity or craft that bring the gospel message to life. The Sunday Friends sessions are lead by adults and peer helpers. There is no need to register your child for Sunday Friends.
