Knights of Columbus Turkey Dinner

Join us Sunday, November 18th from 4-6pm in the hall for our Annual Turkey Dinner. Ticket prices are adults $13, children 12 and under $7. Tickets on sale November 3/4 and 10/11.
   
Grade Eight Open House

Opportunities await at F.J. Brennan High School. Whether you are athletic, artistic, technologically inclined, Brennan is for you! You will enjoy earning your diploma while taking part in the many High Skills Programs Brennan has to offer. Something for everyone! Looking forward to meeting you on Wednesday, November 28th. Doors open at 6pm.
 
Mitts, Gloves and Socks Campaign

The Catholic Women's League ask you to donate new mitts, gloves and socks to be distributed to those experiencing homelessness in our community. Please place your donation in the box in Narthex. Thank you in advance for your support of our November community outreach.
 
Altar Server Training Night

If your child is interested in serving at Mass as an Altar Server and has at least made their First Communion, we are having a training session on Monday, December 3rd at 6:15-7pm. Please email Christine to let her know if your child will be coming to the training at ccoyle@dol.ca.

If you would like to remember a loved one/friend during the upcoming Christmas Season and place a Christmas flower or decoration in the Church in their loving memory kindly place the following information on a piece of paper and place in the Sunday collection or drop off at the parish office. Please print the names of the deceased clearly.

a) Name of the deceased (in memory of)
b) Name of donor and donors phone number
c) Kindly place your donation in the same envelope

Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA)

Are you, or someone you know thinking about entering into full communion in the Catholic Church? Perhaps this summer you will come across a friend or family member who has questions about our Catholic faith. The Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults (RCIA) is a sacramental process in which inquirers can come to learn more about our faith, and candidates are fully initiated into the Catholic Church. We will begin meeting on Wednesday evenings this fall from 7-9pm at Most Precious Blood Church. You are most welcome to be a part of this wonderful faith journey with us. Alpha - Falls Session

This fall we will be providing the Alpha Course on Saturday's from 11:45am until 2pm beginning on Satuday, October 20th. Alpha is an awesome opportunity to grow in your personal relationship with Jesus and to grow in community. We will begin with lunch and provide child care for little ones while you take the course. Please email Christine at ccoyle@dol.ca with your name and if you have any dietary restrictions. The course is free. The age for Alpha is teen through to 99! Looking forward to journeying with you on this new faith adventure.

Registration for Alpha will be closed October 27th.
 

 

Youth Ministry News - "Keep Connected"

"Keep Connected" is a new program out Diocese Youth & Family Office is offering parishes. It is for tweens/younger teens and their parents. Its main focus is on how to keep the lines of communication open between parents and their growing children. There will be discussion on social media. This program is being held here on Monday nights, from October 15 - November 19 from 6:15 pm - 8:15 pm. It begins with a meal for your whole family. After dinner the younger children will go into the child care area. The 10-14 year olds and parents will separate into their portion of the night where they will discuss one of the the Developmental Assets that this program is based on. After some time apart the parents and youth will come together and have a facilitated time to review what they learned and plan for implementation in their unique situations. If you would like to sign up for these sessions please go to www.dol.ca/keep-connected. The session cost per family is $25. There is a limit of 20 families for this program, so sign up soon. Parish Pastoral Council

Many thanks to those who recommended the names of parishioners as potential candidates for our Parish Pastoral Council. Calls have been made and emails sent out to all those recommended to invite them to an information/discernment meeting on Thursday, November 22nd at 6:30pm in the church hall. Continue to pray for the guidance of the Holy Spirit throughout the discernment and election process for new members of the Council.

 

Beloved Retreat

Once again our parish is preparing for The 'Beloved' Retreat Experience on the weekend of November 16-18th. We ask you, our parishioners, to please pray that the Holy Spirit work powerfully in and through this retreat. The Retreat will eb held at the beautiful Holy Family Retreat Center on Lake Erie. Registration forms are available at the parish office. Whether you need a deepening of your faith, looking for a profound experience of Christ or you have a family member who has left the faith and would benefit from this retreat; the experience brings God's grace, healing and profound love to all who participate.

 

Save the Date: First Communion/First Confession

If your child is in grade 2 and older here is the date for our Open House Registration Night - Wednesday, January 9th, 2019 between the hours of 4:30-7:30pm. Forms will be given out at STOC and St. Anne's French Immersion in December. They will be made available in the office and online as well.

 

Rosary
 

The recitation of the rosary will now be prayed Wednesday’s, Thursday’s and Friday’s at 8:00 a.m. here at Most Precious Blood Church.(This will only take place when there is an 8:30 a.m. Mass)

Please note: If for any reason the weekday Wednesday- Friday Mass is cancelled, there will be no rosary.

Girl Guides Of Canada Sparks Age 5-6

The 81st Windsor Spark Unit, Girl Guides of Canada, are looking for girls that are in S.K. and grade 1 that are interested in fun, friendship, field trips, crafts etc. We meet in the MPB church hall Saturday mornings from 10 to 11:30 am (September - June).

Hospice - Wanted: Compassionate and Caring Volunteers

For the past 35 years, the Hospice team of health care professionals and volunteers has helped people and their families facing life ? altering illness. We offer free emotional, spiritual and physical support from the point of diagnosis on.

We need your help. The Hospice of Windsor & Essex County Inc. is looking for volunteers to provide support to our patients. We currently have openings for volunteers in the following areas of patient care: Italian speaking volunteers, volunteer drivers, volunteers to do friendly visiting and/or respite visiting in the client’s home. All volunteers are required to complete orientation, screening and training requirements as set out by the Hospice of Windsor & Essex County Inc. Sunday Friends
 
Every Sunday at our 11:15am mass children between the ages of 4-7 can participate in the Sunday Friends teaching session. During their time together, the children hear the gospel and participate in a fun activity or craft that bring the gospel message to life. The Sunday Friends sessions are lead by adults and peer helpers. There is no need to register your child for Sunday Friends.

Please note: This program is structured for children between the ages of 4-7 years. Parents can drop their child off in the church hall before mass begins. The children will no longer be forward during Mass. Thank you for your cooperation with this change.
