Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA)

Do you know of someone who is interested in becoming Catholic? The RCIA process is a journey of faith discovery. Each week, participants learn an aspect of our Catholic faith and are given the tools to discern how God is working in their lives. This year, we will have a shared group of 5 Parishes participating together that will start October 11th and will be taking place here at Most Precious Blood Parish on Wednesdays from 7 pm - 9 pm. Individuals from Most Precious Blood, Our Lady of Guadalupe, Parish of the Atonement, St. John Vianney and St. Theresa will enable people to journey together, ask questions, pray and understand more about our faith. If you or someone you know is interested, please contact Father Greg to set up an appointment and to begin the process.

We are excited to build on the success and momentum of our first retreat. Come and experience the beautiful grounds of Holy Family Retreat House, the people, good food and an opportunity to learn more about yourself while resting in the Holy Spirit.

This is a collaborative effort with St. Anne Parish of Tecumseh and we each have 18 spaces available. A brochure that has a registration form on the back page is available in the main office.

Vocations - Called to Holiness

Every vocation is a call to become holy in a particular state of life. The Catholic Church recognizes several types of vocations: For Men - Priest, Marriage, Permanent Diaconate, or Religious Life. For Women - Religious Life, Marriage or Consecrated Virginity. There is also the Generous Single Life in Christ for both men and women. To become a parish that promotes vocations and fosters them we have two opportunities:

1) Vocation Crucifix - this crucifix, upon pick up, will come to your home. You and your family will make time to pray together the prayer that goes with the Crucifix. Once your week is complete, you will bring it back to the church for the next person/family to pray.

2) Every 4th weekend of the month we will be praying the Vocation Prayer together as a church family at the end of mass. This is a great start to becoming a parish that promotes vocations.

If you or your family would like to be put on the schedule for Vocation Crucifix, please contact Liz at the church office.

Rosary

The recitation of the rosary will now be prayed Wednesday’s, Thursday’s and Friday’s at 8:00 a.m. here at Most Precious Blood Church.(This will only take place when there is an 8:30 a.m. Mass)

Please note: If for any reason the weekday Wednesday- Friday Mass is cancelled, there will be no rosary.

Thank you to the many volunteers that have come forth to be leaders for this special devotion.

May Our Blessed Mother continue to Bless our wonderful Parish!
