Weekday Mass Changes - April & May

For approximately 3 weeks in April and May there will be only ONE weekday Mass at either Our Lady of Guadalupe or Most Precious Blood.

Week of April 23rd: There will be no weekday masses at Most Precious Blood on Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday. There will be a mass on Friday, April  27th at 8:30 am, which will be celebrated at Out Lady of Guadalupe.

Week of May 7th: There will be no weekday masses at Most Precious Blood. Weekday masses will be celebrated at Our Lady of Guadalupe. Mass schedule below:

Monday - no Mass
Tuesday - 7:00 pm Mass at OLOG
Wednesday - 9:30 am Mass at OLOG
Thursday - 9:00 am Mass at OLOG
Friday - 9:00 am Mass at OLOG

Week of May 28th: There will be no weekday masses at Our Lady of Guadalupe. We will publish the weekday masses at Most Precious Blood in the bulletin and online shortly.

      

Vacation Summer Bible Camp

The date for our summer bible camp is July 23rd - 27th. This week of camp is open to children from the ages of 6-11 years old. The camp is a full day camp (9am - 3:30pm with an early drop off time of 8:30am and late pick up at 4pm).

Registration will be starting up soon. Information will be sent to St. Anne's French Immersion and St. Teresa of Calcutta. We will also have the forms available in the office, online and in the bulletin.

Bible Camp Leaders are needed! If your teen would like to be a camp leader we will be having an important information gathering for all potential leaders on Monday, June 18th at 6:30pm. This info gathering will last about 45 minutes. Teens that do participate in all the training and the week of camp will accumulate at least 50 hours+ of community service hours.

 
Try Alpha

What is Alpha? Alpha is a series of interactive sessions that freely explore the basics of the Christian faith.
Who is is for? Teens, young adults, and parents! Alpha is for anyone who is curious. Each session looks at a different question, and is designed to create conversation. There's no pressure, no charge, it's just an open, informal, and honest space to explore and discuss life's big questions together.
When does Alpha begin? Alpha will run on Monday nights beginning April 9th 6:15 pm - 8:30 pm.

Beloved Retreat Experience

Walk for Life

The 29th Annual Right to Life Walkathon is Saturday, June 2nd. Registration is at 9:30 am at Capri Pizzeria Recreation Complex, 2555 Pulford  Road. People will be in the hall after all Masses on May 26/27 to accept your pledges/donations.
 
Feast Day Weekend Celebration

Sunday, June 3rd we will be celebrating out Feast Day in a special way. Following the 11:15 am mass, all are invited to take part in a prayerful, Eucharistic Procession around the block. Following the procession there will be ice cream in the hall for a time of celebration. All are welcome to join us. Let's show out neighbourhood the power of the Eucharist.
 
Wedding Anniversary Mass

Bishop Fabbro imvites all married couples to the Wedding Anniversary Mass taking place on Sunday, June 3rd at 3 pm at Good Shepherd Parish, Tecumseh.
 
Madonna House

It is with great joy that we invite you to celebrate God's mercy and faithfulness to Madonna House for making the last 35 years a reality. We celebrate, as well, your generosity and faithfulness to Our Lady's House in Windsor. Through your generosity, kindness, love and friendship, these years have been possible. Come and celebrate with us a Mass of Thanksgiving to God for our 35 years of presence and service here in Windsor and for the Diocese of London. The Celebrant for this happy occasion will be Most Rev. Joseph Dabrowski, CMSA. Join us on Saturday, June 16th at 10am at Immaculate Heart Parish. A reception wil be held in the parish hall after Mass. Everyone is welcome.
 
Steubenville Conference - Toronto 
Summer 2018


Our parish has 20 spots available for this summer's High School Conference in Toronto. We will be going with youth ministry groups from our Diocese. The date for thiccoyle@dol.cas amazing conference is July 13-15, 2018. The cost will be approximately $350 for the weekend, which includes transportation, accommodations, food, conference fee and a t-shirt. We will be doing a few fundraisers to help with the cost. This event is open to students going into grade 9 through graduating grade 12. To hold a spot for your teen, please fill out an intent to register form and provide the $50 deposit. Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA)

Do you know of someone who is interested in becoming Catholic? The RCIA process is a journey of faith discovery. Each week, participants learn an aspect of our Catholic faith and are given the tools to discern how God is working in their lives. This year, we will have a shared group of 5 Parishes participating together that will start October 11th and will be taking place here at Most Precious Blood Parish on Wednesdays from 7 pm - 9 pm. Individuals from Most Precious Blood, Our Lady of Guadalupe, Parish of the Atonement, St. John Vianney and St. Theresa will enable people to journey together, ask questions, pray and understand more about our faith. If you or someone you know is interested, please contact Father Greg to set up an appointment and to begin the process.

 

Rosary
 

The recitation of the rosary will now be prayed Wednesday’s, Thursday’s and Friday’s at 8:00 a.m. here at Most Precious Blood Church.(This will only take place when there is an 8:30 a.m. Mass)

Please note: If for any reason the weekday Wednesday- Friday Mass is cancelled, there will be no rosary.

Girl Guides Of Canada Sparks Age 5-6

The 81st Windsor Spark Unit, Girl Guides of Canada, are looking for girls that are in S.K. and grade 1 that are interested in fun, friendship, field trips, crafts etc. We meet in the MPB church hall Saturday mornings from 10 to 11:30 am (September - June).

Hospice - Wanted: Compassionate and Caring Volunteers

For the past 35 years, the Hospice team of health care professionals and volunteers has helped people and their families facing life ? altering illness. We offer free emotional, spiritual and physical support from the point of diagnosis on.

We need your help. The Hospice of Windsor & Essex County Inc. is looking for volunteers to provide support to our patients. We currently have openings for volunteers in the following areas of patient care: Italian speaking volunteers, volunteer drivers, volunteers to do friendly visiting and/or respite visiting in the client’s home. All volunteers are required to complete orientation, screening and training requirements as set out by the Hospice of Windsor & Essex County Inc. Everyone is invited to come and pray the devotion to the Holy Face every Tuesaday at 6:30 p.m. We have trained volunteers to lead the devotion and for this we are blessed.

Sunday Friends
 
Every Sunday at our 11:15am mass children between the ages of 4-7 can participate in the Sunday Friends teaching session. During their time together, the children hear the gospel and participate in a fun activity or craft that bring the gospel message to life. The Sunday Friends sessions are lead by adults and peer helpers. There is no need to register your child for Sunday Friends, Father Greg calls the children forward at the beginning of mass and the children return shortly after the homily.
