Salmon Dinner

Keep Friday, March 16th open for the annual Salmon Dinner. Tickets will be available the weekend of March 10 & 11 or in the office during the week. Prices are $16 for adults and $8 for children 8 and under.

Lenten Day of Confession

Lenten Day of Confession takes place throughout the Diocese of London on Wednesday, March 21st. The following confession times at both Most Precious Blood and Our Lady of Guadalupe Parishes are as follows:

10:30 am - 1:30 pm - Most Precious Blood
3:00 pm - 5:00 pm - Our Lady of Guadalupe
7:00 pm - 8:00 pm - Most Precious Blood

There will be four priests' available. Father Capitano, Father Tom Janisse, Father Charles and Father Greg Bonin. May this be a day of special preparation for the upcoming celebration and Feast of Easter.


Singing the National Anthem

Most Precious Blood choir will once again sing the National Anthem at the Spitfire game on Thursday, March 15th at 7pm at the WFCU Arena. Spitfires vs Owen Sound Attach. Anyone widhing to come to the game and support us, please see a choir member to order your tickets. Price is $16 (reg $22).


Soups and Stations

Every Friday during Lent various service groups will be providing soup at 5:45 pm followed by Stations at 6:30 pm.


Living Stations of the Cross & Good Friday Passion Play

Friday, March 23rs the grade 6's from St. Teresa of Calcutta will be leading us in a Living Stations of the Cross at 6:30 pm here at the church. Please come out to support these young people. A big thank you to Ms. Brooks, the grade 6 teacher who is always willing to help with this production and so many other great faith related ideas.

Also, on Good Friday at out 11am Mass the grade 7 class from St. Anne's French Immersion will be performing the Passion Play for our parish. Thank you to this class and their Mr. DiPietro for taking time out of their classroom schedule to practice.


Try Alpha

What is Alpha? Alpha is a series of interactive sessions that freely explore the basics of the Christian faith.
Who is is for? Teens, young adults, and parents! Alpha is for anyone who is curious. Each session looks at a different question, and is designed to create conversation. There's no pressure, no charge, it's just an open, informal, and honest space to explore and discuss life's big questions together.
When does Alpha begin? Alpha will run on Monday nights beginning April 9th 6:15 pm - 8:30 pm.

Boards and Beers

A night to hang out with other Catholic young people aged 18-35, play a few games, eat some apps and have a drink or two. March 6th at Rock Bottom Bar and Grill, 3236 Sandwich St. This month, we have some game aficionados who are willing to teach a few new games...are you willing to step out of your comfort zone? This is a joint project hosted by the Family and Youth Ministry office and Assumption Campus Ministry and we will provide the games and the apps (drinks are on you). Child care is available at a nearby church but you must contact Claire at to make arrangements.
Post-Secondary Bursary

Each year the Catholic Women's League awards 4 bursaries to High School students who are going on to Post-Secondary Education. Applications are available on our bulletin board or call Marg Eastlake for more information at 519-256-4836. The deadline for submitting the application is April 30th.
Steubenville Conference - Toronto 
Summer 2018

Our parish has 20 spots available for this summer's High School Conference in Toronto. We will be going with youth ministry groups from our Diocese. The date for thiccoyle@dol.cas amazing conference is July 13-15, 2018. The cost will be approximately $350 for the weekend, which includes transportation, accommodations, food, conference fee and a t-shirt. We will be doing a few fundraisers to help with the cost. This event is open to students going into grade 9 through graduating grade 12. To hold a spot for your teen, please fill out an intent to register form and provide the $50 deposit. Conscience Rights Campaign

The Coalition of HealthCARE and Conscience is aiming to petition the Ontario government to protect the conscience rights of healthcare providers and to lobby for adequate palliative care in Ontario. Please read the insert and visit the website ( for more information.
Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA)

Do you know of someone who is interested in becoming Catholic? The RCIA process is a journey of faith discovery. Each week, participants learn an aspect of our Catholic faith and are given the tools to discern how God is working in their lives. This year, we will have a shared group of 5 Parishes participating together that will start October 11th and will be taking place here at Most Precious Blood Parish on Wednesdays from 7 pm - 9 pm. Individuals from Most Precious Blood, Our Lady of Guadalupe, Parish of the Atonement, St. John Vianney and St. Theresa will enable people to journey together, ask questions, pray and understand more about our faith. If you or someone you know is interested, please contact Father Greg to set up an appointment and to begin the process.



The recitation of the rosary will now be prayed Wednesday’s, Thursday’s and Friday’s at 8:00 a.m. here at Most Precious Blood Church.(This will only take place when there is an 8:30 a.m. Mass)

Please note: If for any reason the weekday Wednesday- Friday Mass is cancelled, there will be no rosary.

Girl Guides Of Canada Sparks Age 5-6

The 81st Windsor Spark Unit, Girl Guides of Canada, are looking for girls that are in S.K. and grade 1 that are interested in fun, friendship, field trips, crafts etc. We meet in the MPB church hall Saturday mornings from 10 to 11:30 am (September - June).

Hospice - Wanted: Compassionate and Caring Volunteers

For the past 35 years, the Hospice team of health care professionals and volunteers has helped people and their families facing life ? altering illness. We offer free emotional, spiritual and physical support from the point of diagnosis on.

We need your help. The Hospice of Windsor & Essex County Inc. is looking for volunteers to provide support to our patients. We currently have openings for volunteers in the following areas of patient care: Italian speaking volunteers, volunteer drivers, volunteers to do friendly visiting and/or respite visiting in the client’s home. All volunteers are required to complete orientation, screening and training requirements as set out by the Hospice of Windsor & Essex County Inc. There is hope. You do not have to do this alone. We are a residence for women in crisis related to an unplanned pregnancy. Everyone is invited to come and pray the devotion to the Holy Face every Tuesaday at 6:30 p.m. We have trained volunteers to lead the devotion and for this we are blessed.

Sunday Friends
Every Sunday at our 11:15am mass children between the ages of 4-7 can participate in the Sunday Friends teaching session. During their time together, the children hear the gospel and participate in a fun activity or craft that bring the gospel message to life. The Sunday Friends sessions are lead by adults and peer helpers. There is no need to register your child for Sunday Friends, Father Greg calls the children forward at the beginning of mass and the children return shortly after the homily.
