Funerals

Blessed are they who mourn now for they shall be comforted.
- Matthew 5

We welcome family, friends and relatives of the deceased to come and celebrate the life of a loved one.  It is here that comfort, healing, closure, and peace is offered in a communion of faith.

The Rite of Christian Burial is a three part service which includes the Vigil or Wake, Funeral Liturgy, and the Rite of Committal. Family and friends may wish to participate in some way during the service and we welcome this opportunity wherever possible.

Quite often, upon the death of a loved one, family members will contact one of the area Funeral Homes.  Contact should be made with the Parish Priest either by the next of kin and or the funeral director to discuss the time and date of the funeral of your loved one.  Contact by the Parish Priest with the next of kin will follow to set up a time when you can meet to discuss the particular plans of the funeral
